Notes from Megan S:  A horse is like a best friend.  They are always there to nuzzle you and make your like a better place.

The hardest thing about learning to ride is the ground.

August 2003

Notes from Rachel B: Horses have not been brought in to Iceland for over 800 years.  The ones that are taken out are not allowed back in again.  Sorry Luka!

According to city ordinance 52416 in Markenville, Illinois, it is illegal to ride a horse down the street if you are a female over 40 wearing shorts.

March 2003

Notes from Rachel B: The Dressage letters are set up in a certain order.  They stand for German words that show where each member of King Arthur's Court would have sat.  For Example: K=Koenig=King         E=Edelman=Nobleman         P=Page      V=Vassal     R=Ritter=-Knight

February 2003

Notes from Rachel B: Did you know that Equestrian sports are the only Olympic sports in which men and women compete against each other and at the same level?

January 2003

Notes from Rachel B: "The official FEI high jump record is 8ft 1.25 in (2.47 m) by a horse called Huaso, ridden by Capt. Alberto Larraguibel Morales.  This amazing jump was in Santiago, Chile, on February 5, 1949!"

November 2002

Notes from Rachel B: "Anyone ever wonder how old your favorite horse is in people years?  Well, find out how old he/she is in normal years, multiply by 4 and add 8.  For Example, Sexy Lexi is 11, and 11 times 4 is 44.  I add 8 to get 52, so Lex is 52 in people years!
