Level I
How to properly groom, tack, lead and tie. The proper position,
how to hold the reins, transitions from walk to trot and the
difference between posting and sitting trot.
Level II
Same as previous, adding parts of tack and uses, breeds and
color of horses. Maintaining control and position at walk,
trot and learn posting diagnonals and jump position.
Level III
Learning parts of hoof, common injuries, basic feeding and
nutrition. Developing proficiency at canter. Work without
stirrups, emergency dismount.
Level IV
Show prep, gaits and movement of horse. Canter work, canter
in large circles, perform schooling movements.
Level V
Learn basic jumps and strides, leg protection and uses. Correction
of canter lead, control at canter without stirrups, half-seat
position.
Level VI
Techniques for lungeing, emergency injury care. Canter lead
changes, developing jump position over fences.
Level VII
Identifying bits and uses, advanced flat maneuvers, keeping
horse in proper frame.
Level J2
Walking courses, feeds and supplements. Hunter and equitation
coursework.
Level J3
Advanced jumping, learning how to instruct young riders. **New student applications
for any level higher than Level I must have an assessment
lesson.** |
