Scout Badge Experience

Give your troop a hands-on, memorable experience at the barn while working toward horsemanship-related badge requirements. Our 2.5-hour session combines horse care education, responsibility, and riding instruction in a structured, engaging format. $120 per child.

What to Expect

Your 2.5-Hour Session

Scouts rotate through both riding and barn-based learning for a well-rounded experience.

  • 30 minutes of grooming, tacking, and horse safety instruction
  • 45 minutes: Group A riding lesson while Group B handles stall cleaning, feed preparation, and basic horse care education
  • 45 minutes: Groups switch so every scout gets both experiences
  • 30 minutes of untacking, grooming, and barn cleanup

Our experience was very smooth. The staff was nice, and it reasonably priced for the on hands experience with the horses! The horses were gentle with young kids. We brought our own snacks and it was very laid-back which is my idea of a good time.
